Lindy and Burnett had their wedding at Castle Unicorn, so I got to make my second trip ever out there. It looks like this is going to become a popular wedding venue - they're already pretty well booked for next summer. Hopefully I'll be back for some of those, too! It's a very cool place for pictures, and I was happy to find out Lindy and Burnett's wedding would be there.
Burnett and Lindy sharing a moment during the ceremony.

Burnett holding out the wedding rings. It's fairly subtle in this picture, but Burnett's ring has a very interesting pattern.

Lindy with her girls, . . .

. . . and Burnett with his guys.

Left: Lindy sitting in a throne with a knight in shining armor behind her. Too bad we couldn't put Burnett in one of the suits of armor.
Right: Detail on Lindy's dress.

The wedding favors were these decorative fans, which was perfect because it was a hot one that day. Everyone was sweaty, but these definitely helped some.

Left: I had to post a close-up of this cake because the amount of detail that went into those flowers was incredible.
Right: We took advantage of our settings and did a "prince rescuing his princess from the tower" picture.
Congratulations, Lindy and Burnett! It was an honor to be included as a part of your special day!

Sienna and her parents came in for her one year pictures (see some pictures from her six-month-old session here). We had a fun time in the studio.

She's going to be able to get anything she wants with those eyes.
We had so much fun with the mini birthday cake during Elizabeth's one year session that we decided to try it again. Sienna seemed glad that we did. She enjoyed picking at that frosting.

Happy 1st birthday, Sienna! Congratulations, Kim and Travis!

Melinda's session fell on a stormy day, so we had some fun with umbrellas that day, but then she came back to the studio a few days later to have a rain-free outdoor session as well. (So when you see her laying down in the grass, she's not laying in puddles).

Thanks, Melinda, for going out in the rain to play around with umbrellas. I think we got some great pictures out of it! Good luck with your senior year!

Nick came in on a referral from one of our senior models, which is cool for him because he got Session 2 and 24 wallets for free.

Good luck with your senior year, Nick! Thanks for a great session!

Chris and Kaela had a fun shoot here in the studio for their engagement portraits. We came away with a lot of playful shots because they had such a great energy.

Congratulations, Chris and Kaela! We look forward to celebrating your wedding with you!

You've already seen pictures of the photobooth we had at Sara and Jimmy's reception, but we wanted to share the rest of their day with you, too. They had a very stylish black and white wedding with green accents. The day went very smoothly, except for one bump in the road minutes before the ceremony when it wasn't clear if all the necessary paperwork was in line for the ceremony to proceed (not Sara and Jimmy's fault!). But that problem was resolved, and all in all it was an amazing wedding.

His and her ring shots.

Sara and her dad after seeing each other for the first time that day. It seemed like every time they got near each other, one of them would tear up.

Left: For a while, all the ring bearer could say was, "Jimmy! Jimmy! Jimmy!" because he was that excited to see him.
Right: Sara and Jimmy leaving the sanctuary after getting hitched. Sara's laughing because Jimmy celebrated the occasion with a high five.

Sara stepping down from the very large, very air conditioned bus that replaced the trolley as their getaway vehicle for the day.

Sara and Jimmy's shoes were one of the green accents.

Left: These two know how to make an entrance look good.
Right: Same for a first dance.

See what I mean about the tears? It was touching.

You can tell just by that one sly eye, she's up to something.
And here's the proof:

Frosting on the nose. So smoothly done, and she's obviously satisfied with her work.

Congratulations, Sara and Jimmy! Thanks for including us in your day!
