Hello, wintry weather. Amber and Matthew had their engagement session the day after we got the first snow of the season. It was a cold day for pictures, but the snow gave us some nice scenery to work with, and we kept warm for the studio pictures at least.

Thanks for braving the cold, Amber and Matthew! I look forward to your hopefully warm September wedding next year!

Looks like this may be my last fall engagement post. So we'll start it off strong, with Kimberly and Marc sitting in the leaves, almost k-i-s-s-i-n-g.

And we'll end with a stroll down a tree-lined lane. Thanks, Kimberly and Marc, for a fun session!

Another fall engagement post, heavy on the park pictures because it was gorgeous outside.

Thanks for a great session! I look forward to your wedding, Wendy and Michael!

Sarah and Charles had a wonderful fall engagement session. The leaves and the weather cooperated to give us the perfect setting for their pictures.

Congratulations on your engagement, Sarah and Charles! I look forward to your wedding!

I saw Michelle at the bridal show last Sunday right after I'd put her proofs online, and I got to hear how much she liked her pictures. Conversations like that are what makes my job great.

Thanks, Michelle and Kevin, for a great session! I look forward to your wedding!

Andrea and Michael opted out of formal portraits here in the studio and decided instead to do their entire engagement session in the Old Market. Good decision on their part, because we got a ton of great shots. I could photograph for hours in the Old Market. There's an endless number of places to shoot. Sure, I have my favorites, but I try out new things every time, and I think there's a great mix of old and new in Andrea and Michael's pictures.

Thanks, Andrea and Michael, for a fun session! I look forward to your wedding!

Lindy and Burnett had their wedding at Castle Unicorn, so I got to make my second trip ever out there. It looks like this is going to become a popular wedding venue - they're already pretty well booked for next summer. Hopefully I'll be back for some of those, too! It's a very cool place for pictures, and I was happy to find out Lindy and Burnett's wedding would be there.
Burnett and Lindy sharing a moment during the ceremony.

Burnett holding out the wedding rings. It's fairly subtle in this picture, but Burnett's ring has a very interesting pattern.

Lindy with her girls, . . .

. . . and Burnett with his guys.

Left: Lindy sitting in a throne with a knight in shining armor behind her. Too bad we couldn't put Burnett in one of the suits of armor.
Right: Detail on Lindy's dress.

The wedding favors were these decorative fans, which was perfect because it was a hot one that day. Everyone was sweaty, but these definitely helped some.

Left: I had to post a close-up of this cake because the amount of detail that went into those flowers was incredible.
Right: We took advantage of our settings and did a "prince rescuing his princess from the tower" picture.
Congratulations, Lindy and Burnett! It was an honor to be included as a part of your special day!
