Chris and Kaela had a fun shoot here in the studio for their engagement portraits. We came away with a lot of playful shots because they had such a great energy.

Congratulations, Chris and Kaela! We look forward to celebrating your wedding with you!

You've already seen pictures of the photobooth we had at Sara and Jimmy's reception, but we wanted to share the rest of their day with you, too. They had a very stylish black and white wedding with green accents. The day went very smoothly, except for one bump in the road minutes before the ceremony when it wasn't clear if all the necessary paperwork was in line for the ceremony to proceed (not Sara and Jimmy's fault!). But that problem was resolved, and all in all it was an amazing wedding.

His and her ring shots.

Sara and her dad after seeing each other for the first time that day. It seemed like every time they got near each other, one of them would tear up.

Left: For a while, all the ring bearer could say was, "Jimmy! Jimmy! Jimmy!" because he was that excited to see him.
Right: Sara and Jimmy leaving the sanctuary after getting hitched. Sara's laughing because Jimmy celebrated the occasion with a high five.

Sara stepping down from the very large, very air conditioned bus that replaced the trolley as their getaway vehicle for the day.

Sara and Jimmy's shoes were one of the green accents.

Left: These two know how to make an entrance look good.
Right: Same for a first dance.

See what I mean about the tears? It was touching.

You can tell just by that one sly eye, she's up to something.
And here's the proof:

Frosting on the nose. So smoothly done, and she's obviously satisfied with her work.

Congratulations, Sara and Jimmy! Thanks for including us in your day!

We've already posted everything else we've done with Mandy and Dan (see their engagement pictures here and their wedding pictures here and here), so we might as well post their album design as well. This was a custom designed 30-page album approved by the couple before we sent it off to get made, as all of our albums are. Every picture, including the background images, are from their wedding day. I think it turned out great and shows off perfectly how much fun the day was.

Thanks, Mandy and Dan! It's been an honor to work with you!

This one wins the award for most theatrical picture of the night.

The guy with the sword looks like he has a little Captain in him.

I love how the adults are getting into the crazy spirit of the picture more than the kids in this one.

Gun wins for sure, right?
.jpg)
Apparently not.

The groom's brother and his wife.

The mustache completes this look.

Either this is really good acting, or she's actually contemplating going through with it.

This couple got into the wedding spirit (that's an engagement ring in his hands).

Sister and father of the bride.

Jimmy looks like he's in command of this situation. Sara, you have the gun. Take charge!

That's a little bit more like it.

Congratulations, Sara and Jimmy! Thanks for hosting such a fun photobooth at your reception!

Stephanie and John got married in Bellevue's historic First Presbyterian Church. It was a beautiful place to hold a wedding, but it was just stuffy enough on a hot day to necessitate cooling off over the floor vents.

And to require hair touch-ups.

Thanks, Stephanie and John, for letting us be a part of your day! Congratulations!

Mandy and Dan had a beautiful wedding at the Magnolia in downtown Omaha. The couple was great to photograph and the location was picturesque, so needless to say, it was difficult to narrow down pictures for this post.

Mandy was concerned when we were taking pictures next to the window that Dan would catch a glimpse of her. But, judging by his reaction when they officially saw each other for the first time, he hadn't seen anything to spoil the surprise.

This guy definitely digs his mom's choice of husband.

But he's still clearly attached to Mom. He hid himself behind one of the half columns along this hallway while we took pictures of Mandy just so he could be near her and, of course, poke his head out once in a while to see what we were up to.

The ring bearer and flower girl entertained themselves during a lull by deconstructing the flower girl basket.

The couple and their moms.

Thanks, Dan and Mandy, for choosing us for your wedding day!

Shot a wedding recently out near Glenwood, Iowa at a cool location called Castle Unicorn. It was my first time there, and I could probably do an entire post of just scene setters from the venue.
Here's the castle and some of its design elements:

Ok, enough detail shots. Here's the wonderful couple.

Christina's flowers and Christina's sister, Lindsey, helping her put on her rock star shoes:

Shoes were a point of interest at this wedding.

The maid of honor helping her dad get ready.

The bride and groom exchanged cards to read before they saw each other, and Christina had a very touching reaction to hers.
This flower girl looks a little like Madonna's kid, don't you think?

The ring bearer knew how to look cool.

One of the most unique wedding rings I've ever seen.

Thanks, Christina and Trevor, for letting us be part of your day!
